Windows Installation

Polarity-MD on Windows ships as a ZIP with native VST3 and CLAP builds. There is no installer. Copy the plugin files into the standard plugin folders, then rescan your DAW.

Step-by-step install (no installer)

  1. Download the Windows ZIP from the Downloads section.
  2. Open the ZIP file, or extract it to a temporary folder.
  3. Open the CLAP folder in the ZIP or extracted folder.
  4. Copy the Polarity-MD.clap file to C:\Program Files\Common Files\CLAP.
  5. Open the VST3 folder in the ZIP or extracted folder.
  6. Copy Polarity-MD.vst3 to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
  7. Start your DAW and run a plugin rescan.

Important: Polarity-MD.vst3 is a directory bundle even though Explorer may make it look like a single file. Copy the full .vst3 item as-is.

Standard Windows plugin paths

CLAP: C:\Program Files\Common Files\CLAP
VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

These locations are standardized and usually identical across Windows systems.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
Plugin not listed in DAW Confirm the files are in the exact folders above, then run a full plugin rescan.
DAW still loads an older build Remove older Polarity-MD copies from custom plugin folders, then rescan so the DAW picks up the current native build.
Copied to a user folder by mistake Move the files into C:\Program Files\Common Files\CLAP and C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
Windows asks for administrator permission That is normal for C:\Program Files. Click Continue and complete the copy.
VST3 copied as contents only Delete it and copy the entire Polarity-MD.vst3 bundle again, not just the files inside it.
