linux // x86_64 archive

Linux Installation

The Linux archive includes CLAP, VST3, the standalone application and an installation script.

Download .tar.gz · v0.1.3 Back to Downloads

Extract the archive

Download polarity-glue-X.Y.Z-linux-x86_64.tar.gz and close your DAW. Replace X.Y.Z with the downloaded version:

tar -xzf polarity-glue-X.Y.Z-linux-x86_64.tar.gz

Open the extracted directory that contains install.sh.

Run the included installer

chmod +x install.sh
./install.sh --help
./install.sh --system

Follow the script’s prompts and approve elevated permissions if requested. Select CLAP or VST3 for your DAW. The included help lists the options supported by that release.

After installation, start your DAW and scan the plugin destinations reported by the installer.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to check
Permission deniedMake the installer executable using chmod +x install.sh and rerun it.
Plugin is missingAdd the installation directory reported by the script to your host’s scan paths, then rescan.
A shared library is missingRun ldd on the CLAP binary or the shared library inside the VST3 bundle. Install the dependencies listed as not found through your distribution’s package manager.
No compression with External SidechainRoute a signal to the sidechain input, or disable External Sidechain to use the main input as the detector source.

Updating

Close all hosts and the standalone application before running the installer from the newer archive. Keep the previous archive if you need to return to an older version.
