This Hi-Hat Generator works by running white noise or pink noise through an impulse response sample. When you hit “Generate,” it mixes different impulse responses together to create a new hi-hat sound. Just a heads-up: the generated hi-hats aren’t saved permanently. It’s best to sample them as audio files. Next time you load the project, the generated sound will be gone, and you’ll have to start from scratch. All the impulse responses were made using Spectrum Thief, the plugin I recently showcased on my channel. And of course, you’re more than welcome to drop in your own hi-hat EQ impulse responses if you want. You’ve got your own hi-hat sounds you can generate anyway!
